Recommendation: Polycarbonate Lenses
Whenever a patient is under 16 years of age or there is any kind of a sports/safety requirement, we strongly recommend Polycarbonate Lenses regardless of the precription. Polycarbonate is significantly stronger than plastic or high-index materials and is also safer in situations when breakage occurs. If the situation warrants it, we can offer you an "aspheric polycarbonate" lens that is thinner than standard polycarbonate, but still maintains the same features. Your safety is our #1 concern.
Before finalizing your lens selection, please consider the following options that can significantly increase the qualify and usability of your lenses.
